About Flybox®

1 in 10 people are hungry.

1 in 3 lack regular access to adequate food.

Food producers face higher costs and lower certainties.

We believe that freedom of hunger is an inalienable right, and entirely possible.

We create Insect-based tech to give farmers, food producers and supermarkets an extra edge, and agri-food companies the inputs they need to feed the world.

We currently operate in the United Kingdom and Kenya.

Mana operates and distributes a fleet of mobile insect containers. We partner with commercial farms, deploy our containers directly on-site and manage large quantities of commercial, organic waste. Inside the containers the black soldier fly converts the waste into products which are sent back to the hub for processing. The entire process is managed by Mana so farmers can immediately start earning more income from their waste without investing in any capital costs or learning the complex processes of insect farming and breeding. We are the world’s first truly plug-n-play insect farming solution. Built for farmers and the planet. We currently operate in Kenya and UK.

Flybox® partners

Taking action.
Creating impact.

Our food system is broken. But not beyond saving.

Flybox® was founded to give our growing population certain access to adequate food.

We’re in a protein crunch: The globe is predicted to experience a shortage of 60 million tonnes of protein/year by 2030. Our food supply needs to grow 70% by 2050 to meet this rising demand without depleting our natural resources. Water and land-intensive conventional proteins like Soy simply won’t cut it.

Flybox® harvests existing organic waste on-site, transforming it into a protein rich larvae that can feed our livestock, fish and pets.

Farmers, food producers and supermarkets that deploy the Flybox® Grow feed the world by turning organic waste into a new source of sustainable food supply.

That’s why we exist—to help feed the world.
